Why I’ve Given Up Matched Betting
|You may have seen that I’d started Matched Betting a while back here and given the report of my first month here. It was a good little earner, but this is why I’ve given up Matched Betting.
Matched Betting Really is Risk Free
Matched Betting is a great way to earn a few extra quid on the side. It’s risk free and all your winnings are tax free. What more could you want. With a number of simple calculations you can place bets and guarantee that you’ll be making profit!
With the help of the team over at Team Profit you too can start on a Matched Betting adventure and earn yourself some extra beer money.
Why I’ve Given Up Matched Betting
Seems a bit strange that the owner of a money blog would give up guaranteed profit on anything? Well, yes and no. There’s a few reasons for my decision.
With limited time available in this world, and being a responsible parent to two little girls, Matched Betting seemed to take up time that could be better spent elsewhere. A lot of sport played on the weekend that offer better odds and there are a lot of offers that run during these times. I only get those two days off a week and I don’t want to be glued to my phone or computer for the duration finding the best odds when I could be watching my children grow and play. Don’t get me wrong, at this age, there are times when I’d quite happily hide in my office, under the desk with headphones on!
There are only so many big returns that I’m aware of without shelling out a monthly subscription costs for Matched Betting services such as Profit Accumulator. I’m trying to limit my monthly outgoings, not add to them.
The profits you make seem to me to only add to your bankroll. Yes, you’re winning, but the more you win, the bigger your next bet can be. It’s an endless cycle. I felt that taking money out of my Matched Betting pool would drop me back down to lower bets.
With heart surgery planned for my 9 month old daughter, I took the money out and we went away on a little holiday. We had a wonderful time, topped off with a successful surgery and a happy family! The money I’d made Matched Betting made this possible.
Should You Start Matched Betting?
Most definitely YES! Just yes! If you have never done it and are interested in the idea, do not hesitate. Get over to Team Profit and follow their FREE guides!
WARNING Matched Betting isn’t for everyone. I should probably note that If you don’t agree with gambling or have had a problem with gambling in the past, this probably isn’t for you. There is money to be made here, but if you don’t trust yourself not to sway from the system, I’d steer clear.
The welcome offers seem to be where you make most of the money. If you’ve never signed up to a bookmaker, and have a few pounds to spare I highly recommend that you do it! It’s literally free money and it’s waiting for you!
Get the welcome offers out the way and see where you want to go from there. You can carry on by enrolling onto a subscription service, or take the money and run like me.
With the skills that I’ve learnt on my small journey into Matched Betting, I would likely do it again if I found myself with some more free time on my hands. However, if an offer that was too good to miss fell into my separate Matched Betting inbox (that’s a good tip there!) then I might take a few minutes and place the required bets!
Hi,
Although weekends have more offers, the beauty of Matched Betting is you can do a fair amount of it pretty much 24/7. I quite often place bets late in the evening for the next days football. (I have 3 kids, not always easy when they are around in the day).
While I agree a bigger pot helps, especially over time, there are usually 1 or 2 really easy money offers available most days, e.g bet £20 get £10. So the bets don’t have to keep getting bigger. Free spins no wagering type offers can be lucrative.
Just one offer can usually cover a months subscription.
Price boost are my easiest earner, but I’ve built the bank for those and bigger stakes do help. But they take literally minutes to place and profit.
Nice that your Matched betting earnings paid for your holiday. I hope all is well with your daughter.
With big things going on in your family I can completely see why you did this (and glad the surgery went well).
I did the same, and for similar reasoning (although I was OK with paying a subscription as my profit covered that). The other aspect for me was that I found it to be a combination of boring but not so mindless that I could concentrate on TV programme at the same time.
I see people making huge money doing this so I may be tempted back, but for now I’m happy with my decision.
Glad to see I’m not the only one. It’s just comparing statistics at the end of the day. Might be interested in getting my partner signed up at a later date. Thanks for commenting!
